For those people a condi signet build work a lot better (as it's simple to play) than chasing the condi weaver dream. Not everybody want to play convoluted rotation that fail half of the time. So, yes, signets on condi elementalist are strong.

Signet of earth is a bit trickier as it's passive isn't really attractive (thought, it can help in competitive modes) but, nonetheless it's active is quite strong as it apply a good chunk of bleed along with an invaluable immobilisation that can push a fight in your favor anytime in competitive mode. What am I saying? It's not just one of the best utility of the elementalist, it's a good contender to be one of the best core utility of the game as a whole. 1200 range short CD aoe 2 burns (10s) that isn't affected by projectile hate on active. Free passive precision on a profession that desesperatly need crit chance. Seriously, signet of fire is one of the best utility the elementalist have. Synergy I ask myself “how does this compare to any other condi class? To condi weaver?” And then I wake up. The moment I think condi signet ele is good because I believe, the arcane skills design simply don't fullfil any 'need' in the current GW2. Arcane power is a nice skill but the trait made it to strong which led to heavy nerf. Having an 2 instant cast fast projectile is nice and dandy but, with the global damage nerf it doesn't really have a 'viable' niche where it can be exploited. Arcane shield is objectively an 'ok' skill but with the other options on the elementalist's hand, it often feel like a waste to take it.

The blast finishers used to be invaluable in the vanilla game but they've lost most of their value when the first x-pack was released.

Within the context of the elementalist, however, the skills don't really bring anything valuable in the post vanilla game. Individually, outside of any context, the skills are all pretty strong. My condi signet build make me think signets are fine (especially when traited).Īs for Arcane, it's a bit complicated.
